Dr. Adkins entered a combined BS/MD program a month after graduating high school.  Over the next six years she graduated summa cum laude with her Bachelor of Science degree in natural sciences from the University of Akron, and earned her Doctor of Medicine degree from the Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine (NEOUCOM).  Upon graduating medical school in 2003, she traveled to Newark, Delaware to complete her residency training at Christiana Care Health System where she received the Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons Resident Achievement Award for demonstrating exceptional skill in laparoscopic surgery and the Resident in Excellence award, awarded to the graduating OB/GYN resident who made an exemplary effort in their commitment to medicine.

Dr. Adkins returned to Ohio in the summer of 2007 and joined Pickaway Health Services.  She enjoyed providing medical care at Berger Hospital and serving the residents of Pickaway county until joining Premier Women’s Health in July of 2011.  She will now be affiliated with Riverside Methodist Hospital, St. Ann’s Hospital, the Ohio State University Medical Center, and Knightsbridge Surgery Center.

Dr. Adkins is certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and is a Fellow of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.  She offers comprehensive women’s healthcare from adolescence through menopause with special interests in adolescent obstetrics and gynecology, well-woman health promotion and education, menopausal therapy, pessary fitting and maintenance, and polycystic ovarian syndrome.

Dr. Adkins resides in Grove City with her husband, daughter, and labradoodle retriever.
